These Terms govern your use of the DBCraft website at dbcraft.io (the “Website”) and the DBCraft self-hosted dashboard software (the “Software”). By accessing the Website or installing the Software, you agree to these Terms.
1. Early access
DBCraft is currently in early access. The Software is provided free of charge during this period. Features, performance, and limits may change without notice. Some features (for example, the AI Assistant) are planned for a paid “Pro” tier that will launch in the future. Pricing for Pro will be announced on the Website before it goes into effect.
Existing users will receive at least 30 days' written notice before any change that introduces a fee or removes a feature you currently rely on.
2. Licence
Subject to these Terms, DBCraft grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run the Software inside your organisation for internal business purposes during the early-access period.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or host the Software as a service for third parties.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use the Software to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models intended to replicate it.
3. Your data
The Software runs on your infrastructure. You retain all rights to data you connect to it. We do not access, copy, or process your data unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, in a support email).
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you process with the Software, for keeping your deployment secure and up to date, and for complying with any laws that apply to your use case.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Software or Website to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Process personal data in violation of applicable data protection law.
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Website, our infrastructure, or other users.
5. Updates and support
During early access we may issue updates that fix bugs, change behaviour, or add features. We provide best-effort community support over email. Service-level agreements (SLAs) and guaranteed support windows are not included in early access.
6. Trademarks
“DBCraft”, the DBCraft logo, and any related marks are owned by DBCraft. These Terms do not grant you any right to use those marks except to truthfully describe that you use the Software.
7. Feedback
If you send us feedback or suggestions about the Software, we may use them without restriction or compensation. We will not identify you publicly without your permission.
8. Disclaimers
The Software and Website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your specific use case.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DBCraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Software or Website.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid DBCraft in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold DBCraft harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Software or Website in violation of these Terms or applicable law, including reasonable legal costs.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Software and Website at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, Sections 8–10 and 13) will do so.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via the Website. Continued use of the Software or Website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law gives consumers the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
